Struggling with Teenagers and Mess: How Can I Get My Kids to Clean Up After Themselves?

@josephtheprotector yeah right! Teenagers would laugh even more! Trust me teenagers nowadays are entitled piece of sh*ts! They feel they are hard done by and u owe them for the life they are living! @alison please know i for one definitely feel your pain, literally in the same boat, have tried everything and getting nowhere. Just waiting for them to hit 16 and they can make their own way!

@josephtheprotector the thing is, it's not a negotiation. I get the spirit of your point but the reality is they should be intimidated to an extent. They should feel an appropriate level of pressure and accountability, and remorse. They do need to respect and be concerned about consequences of not doing the right thing. They are surrounded by bad influences. As parents we aren't there to be liked, we are there to bring them up into dignified, respectable people.
I am not going to have a little chat about how not to leave the toilet seat up, or dump uniform which has just been ironed. And if they are being lazy, spoilt brats I'm going to show them honesty and tell them that they are being lazy spoilt brats -and their behaviours are not acceptable or appreciated.

Does your back hurt from that massive reach? I'd say wanting my kids to watch age appropriate youtubers who post educational content rather than roblox horror game content is pretty normal of me.

Ah come on peeps my post wasnt meant to start a war lol. We each have our own opinions and they are just that. Dont tear each other down ❤️
