Struggling with Dinner Ideas: Seeking Easy, Kid-Friendly Meals for a Busy Schedule

soup and crusty bread is so simple and tasty and nourishing, homemade is easy but tinned just as good imo. if they have cooked meal at lunch I am sure things like baked potato with toppings and sausages chips and beans or salad would be totally sufficient.

Pitta bread pizza that they make themselves and pop in air fryer
Meatball and mozzarella open subs
Sweet potato curry and rice , if the don't want the curry there's always just rice and bread they won't starve
Giant fish finger sandwiches
Sausage and wedges , homemade so easy in air fryer
Jacket potato
Macaroni cheese and bacon , great if you want to make a quick cheese sauce otherwise just buy fresh pre made stuff
When all else fails there's always supernoodles 😆

this cooks itself into deliciousness, chicken, whole or pieces casserole dish, onions, garlic peppers and tomatoes,. roast in the oven together. pasta, rice, or even potatoes are gorgeous with the veg and juices mixed into them. very easy and pretty quick.

Look at Eating with the kids on instagram.
She does recipe cards that are easy to follow and my son loves to help look through the cards and pick something. One pot meals and slow cooker pack are our fav.

How about batch cook simple quick things for the kids, spaghetti bol, chilli (not spicy), mild curry, meat and veg etc then I freeze them in portions so when me and partner have what they don't like I just defrost one of their meals and heat it up.

Buy a slow cooker. It’s really made dinners so much easier. I do all sorts in there and there’s lots of family friendly recipe ideas. Takes a couple of minutes at the start of the day to sort and it’s so worth it when it’s all ready.

Honestly your not alone with fussy eaters, I always cook separately which is annoying but the kids eat a boring usual diet of chicken nuggets, sausages and potato waffles 🙄 I cook meals alot from pinch of nom as I need a recipe to follow or online easy recipes like from BBC website x

i eat after my kids but unless they absolutely hate something they get what i cook. I know some mums making different meals for each child 🤦‍♀️ Absolutely not. It’s worked for me, non of mine are fussy at all, me and my partner choose to eat later as he finishes work a bit later x

Batch cook. Always make double of every meal if possible and freeze..always gon a be days you hate cooking and it helps not buying takeaway. Xxx

If you have a freezer bulk cook.... double up on what you you make for them and yourself and freeze what's left ....just defrost and microwave that way 2 meals you only cook once

Jacket potatoes, let them put their own toppings on?
Soup and crusty roll and butter
Cheesy beans on toast
Eggs beans and chips
Pasta and give them the sauce for them to add as much as they want? With grated cheese that they can add themselves
Toasties and let them do their own fillings (depending on age)
