Struggling as an Introvert: Anyone Else Feeling Lonely and Finding It Hard to Make Friends?

@kerrirebecca I was in one but was always left out, even reply back to people and get ignored so I left the group.
I'm just not into big group sessions. 1 or 2 I can just about deal with anymore and I'll have an anxiety attack

It's so hard, well done for being the one to reach out, it's not easy, maybe just find something that interests you and go to a group or even join an online forum based on that and finding like minded Ppl when you're there?
Xx

Go to lots of playgroups and chat to anyone there, then recharge from all that socialising for not talking to anyone for a few hours after 😂 x

Me too I'm stay home mum too I have child with disabilities I'm single too way I like it I don't have any one really I can really talk to about things or meet up with just me and the kids to be honest my child with disabilities keeps me so busy I don't have time for much else I can't work I find some FB groups are okay but not same as having a actually person u can talk to

Where is everyone based ? Maybe as lots of people here feel the same, if you’re in the same area arrange a meet up 🙂

Same! I literally have no mum friends, have a handful of good friends I see maybe twice a year but that's it really. Extremely lonely and based in West Midlands if anyone fancies a new friend? ✨

Are there any sports or activities that you’re interested in? I joined a netball club on a Monday evening when my son was a baby. Like you I needed something for myself. Searched Facebook for a local club and turned up the following week. That was about 4 years ago and I love it 🥰

Do you have any hobbies or like any sports? You could join a club and it'll be easier to start talking to people because there's a common subject to talk about. I went back to school this autumn and started making friends because we're all thrown in together in a group doing the same thing and friendships tend to naturally form in such situations (we're already talking about organising a class trip abroad together!)

Totally the same here. Don't have much of anything going on outside of the hubby, child, house triangle. Definitely an introvert too, so I really know what you're saying x
I'm easy Sussex btw, in case anyone else in same boat x

@radicalmum I don't feel as alone now. Thought I was the only one. I love my own company don't get me wrong but would love to know what a chat is like with another woman instead of a conversation about work/football/male banter or fortnite/roblox/peppa pig. 🤣

@marc16 what you don't like talking about Peppa pig! 😱
The chat from my child is all Mario based.
When I meet my chums of which I do only have a small number we do talk about the kids but also books, movies, current news (I learn lots from some of these conversations), countries of travel, future dreams and aspirations and we moan about our partners 😂. X
