Need Support for My Son Facing Bullying for His Charity Haircut in Honor of His Grandmother

Your strength, determination and courage to be you and do the things you decide to do will get you far in life.
My son did the opposite and shaved his head twice to raise money for a friend and his cousin with leukaemia, so they wouldn’t be on their own with bald heads.
Yes he was nervous and worried what other children would say, he created a response and if they didn’t understand that was their loss. A very hard thing to do at school.

Beckham had long hair for a while! I think there are few other major players in the prem with longer hair too. Tell him to stick with it. Just ignorant idiots.
You my dear are amazing. You don't need approval for your reasons why. You must have a heart of gold. Lots of amazing sportsmen have long hair. Your reason to grow it us much better than any of theirs. You are doing it in recognition of someone you lost who you loved very much.you are doing something to help others. Hold that beautiful head of hair high. You are amazing. Dont you forget it! Xx
He has beautiful hair and this is such a lovely thing to do in memory of his Nan, I bet she would be so proud.
My boys tried to do this several years ago but grew tired of the comments from other kids and decided to get the chop, they probably very weren’t far off the length required for little princesses. They wound up being very disappointed in themselves.
He has come so far growing his hair that long and I think he would be disappointed in himself if he let others make him rethink his decision. Just tell him that when others make comments, to remind himself why he’s doing this. Won’t be long before he’s reached the required length and can reach his goal of giving his hair to a child who has none. Stay strong young man, what you are doing is absolutely wonderful

Tell him that he’s doing a great thing. Just think of the little girls and boys who will be able to have his hair as a wig. I did the same thing years ago and grew my hair for a year and I felt great after donating loads of hair at 12 inches. There’s not much we can do to help get rid of illnesses like cancer but playing a small part in donating our hair so that someone can have a wig to give them their confidence back is a great privilege. Well done to your kind hearted son
