Tips for First-Time Cat Owners: Keeping Kittens Away from Christmas Trees

I always put up the tree with no decorations for a day or two before I decorate it. That way they get used to it before the decorations are on. I also put cheap little baubles at the bottom so it doesn't matter if they play with them.

I have 3 cats, 8years old now, the one always ends up in the tree! Christmas scented pine cones are the best thing I’ve found so far, keeps her out of it for a couple of weeks till the smell starts to fade, but she’s obsessed with fairy so that doesn’t go in the top anymore 😁

Aww my Russian blue is super cheeky too and was the same age last year i bought the citrus scented sticks u hang on the tree which seemed to help he only really sniffed it and got inside the bottom a few times then got bored ... This year he isn't interested in the tree at all. Xx

My Russian blue is about 9 months I’ve tended to make a high pitch noise every time he goes near it and he’s kinda gone off the idea so much now.

Oh my, she is beautiful! Our first cat was a Russian blue. She was called Misty! I love it when they haven’t grown into their ears ❤️
I resigned myself that our cats would climb the tree! They did it more when it was a real tree, the bark was easy to cling to! 🤣

No tips for the tree situation. Our 8mo Bruce already pulled off half the decorations and tried eating the lights 😅 he’s a feisty one as it is, so I’m not surprised tbh lol
Nova is gorgeous btw

No tips for the tree but just wanted to say she's gorgeous! We used to have Burmese which are one of the best breeds and constantly talk to you and want to be with you. Seeing a pic of your cat has made me a bit emosh. 🐈

Get a really soft and fluffy tree skirt, the last two years my cats wrecked my tree daily..this year they cosy under the tree on the tree skirt and sleep 😀
