We have had this pool for 3 years and never had to empty it. We run the pump for 7 hours aday throughout the summer. I check the chlorine levels every day, obviously if the suns shining and its been used it needs more chlorine. The ph is always fine. We have a robot hoover to clean the bottom. My only tip is check the levels each day. We use drums of hydrochloride. Hope this helps.
