I follow a guided cleaning podcast called rock the housework, it’s great and has really helped me as I struggle to keep on top of it xx

@grcafterburner ok, well I must admit I’ve fallen off the TOMM wagon a bit myself lately, so I just do little motivational things like clean the kitchen sides while the kettle is boiling, tidy the lounge or load the dishwasher during the break from my favourite TV show etc.

@jamie2 I just need my motivation back as I know how well tomm works, I used to do bedsheets every Tuesday etc and I’ve just lost touch with it all, maybe I need to go and rewatch all of her videos. Thanks for taking the time to reply x

I do most of my cleaning in a blitz on a Saturday morning so I am free to enjoy the weekend in a clean house. Sure I tidy as I go, do dishes etc through the week but not really cleaning. It takes about 2 hours total to do everything and I start between 6-7am so it’s all done by 9am. Washing I do on a Saturday - 2-3 loads. I feel like I then have plenty of time to play with the kids, walk the dog etc.
I definitely don’t have insane standards - I change bedding every other week and alternate which beds need doing each week. I don’t feel the need to wash everyone’s clothes after every wear so that reduces the washing too. I get the kids involved in cleaning - usually I Hoover and then they Hoover the living room again (they particularly like hoovering the sofa) so that keeps them occupied. We have a lot of Kallax boxes and I organise the toys so they are easy to tidy away each day. Xxx

@sarahfisher I used to do it this way before my youngest, apart from I used to make sure everything was done on a Friday so I had the weekend to enjoy with the husband and kids. I just need to gain my control back, thank you for replying xx
