@thecross98 yes it does, i used to work in pubs, one year i just slept Xmas day until 3pm, couldn't care less about it. When i went on maternity, i never went bk.
Exactly. This trend of ‘Just wonderin how much ur all spending on your bubbas this Chrimbo NO JUDGEMENT PLEASE DON’T WANT A ROW’ is insanity. Just **** off.
@hc7 exactly, surely you work out how much you can save each month then divide that overall amount over the year between your children. Ah no that’s ‘old fashioned’. There’s a lot to be said for old fashioned sometimes! I don’t recall ever asking anyone what they spent on their children, mine were born before the internet but grew up with it. They knew I spent what I could afford… that’s what children need to realise. Christmas shouldn’t mean debt for anyone.
Totally agree. Can we also stop saying "it's presence not presents that matters" because it's really hurtful to those that don't have anyone to spend it with
Totally agree we have four children and there always happy with what they get we can't afford much but we always make sure our kids are happy Christmas day with playing lots of board games with them xxx
@diamondedge1 Santa delivers all the presents here - but us, family, friends have sent them to Santa to be delivered. The only present my kids get off Santa is when they go and see him.
He’s just like Royal Mail or DPD to my kids - just delivers the presents but hasn’t gifted them.
@diamondedge1 this is what we do. One present from Santa and the big stuff from us if we can do it. We've always told our 2 that Santa has a lot of kids to provide presents for and some parents can't afford a lot so it's only fair Santa concentrates on them. Also the big tech companies won't allow Santa to deliver for them (saved us when eldest wanted a switch years ago)!
@diamondedge1 I don’t think it matters what people do, people have traditions and should do what they want. Kids forget by the time they are back to school and generally don’t brag about what they got.
