Choosing the Right Nintendo Switch for Twins – Game Copies and Model Comparison

We have a ninre switch that we play as a family. I've got my own personal Nintendo switch lite. Which only 1 can play on at a time compared to the switch which 4 of us can play at same time
Game wise I've had to get a copy for the switch and a copy for the switch lite xx

Only if playing at the same time otherwise you can share a cartridge between switch’s - there’s also a way to share digital copy but again can’t be played at the same time x

@comicbookguy so basically you would log in to the family switch and make it the primary console - then anyone else who has an account on there can play the downloaded games - on your lite switch just login and download the games and you can play but only through your account no other account would be able to play - they also can’t be played at the same time so if your playing on the lite they won’t be able to play that game on the family console — sometimes tbh it is just easyier to buy a second 🤣 I look mostly at second hand game but Nintendo games always seem to hold price even second hand x

@comicbookguy I have the solution for game sharing on two consoles and only one digital game purchase!
Not sure why everyone says you can’t?
I don’t know if it works on more than one switch as only ever done it on two.
You can actually play the game on both switches with one account and one digital game, at the same time… providing the game doesn’t need online to play e.g you couldn’t play online on mario together
You have the main primary account on one switch that has all the games But make sure it’s in aeroplane mode/not on the wifi or internet
Then you put that account also onto the other switch and log in, this one can be online, you can then log into that account and play the games the other switch has bought and only need to buy the game once but it has to be the digital one

Depending what games they like to play some will be 2 player so they can play the same switch together - my 2 share a switch I just bought 2 wireless controllers - games they play are all the lego marvel hero’s, villians , Star Wars, incredibles ect (split screen) - mario games (togther), super smash bros , donkey kong , mario kart - I don’t have minecraft but google says it is possible on switch , sonic frontiers and force are deffo single player only 😫- I wouldnt bother with oled personally for such a young age you can save by buying the Normal the difference is a larger, more vibrant display, enhanced audio and double the internal storage (which you can easily buy a sd card for extra storage )

Games they both want and are likely to play at the same time buy them digitally and game share. Any other games but the cartridge that way you can resell if they decide they don't like the game etc.

We have one switch for our 3 kids. It's attached to the TV, if they don't agree on a game they don't play. 🤷‍♀️ They can use their tablet or watch something on the 22" TV instead.
For us a games console is a family item to be played together not something to be played individually.

Honestly I'd just buy them second hand on marketplace. The OLED ones aren't necessary if you're trying to save money. If you are wanting to buy them I'd do it now before the prices jump up with people selling them on as Christmas presents etc.
Regarding games if they both want to be playing the same game at the same time, yes you'll need 2 copies of the same game

There is a guy on vinted who sells switches second hand all working order we got my son the switch that goes on the TV brand new then mu daughter the switchnlite second hand we buy the games rather than downland they share ill try and find his user name for you x

I have a twin
