Choosing the Right Nintendo Switch for Twins – Game Copies and Model Comparison

I personally wouldn't buy 2. There's almost every game is multi player so can play together. The controls can be hand held or single player on the machine. It also connects to TV so they can both see the screen without arguing.
You could also buy more handsets so you can all play as a family

I think the only difference between the oled version and the older one is just how it looks everything else seems to be the same. I have one switch between both of my boys as they never really tend to use it off of the console. I attach it up to the TV and they prefer to play it two player. Mario karts is definitely a winner. They both love that game and their 3 and 8 xx

My husband has OLED, my son the normal one. I think for 7 year olds thw OLED really isn't necessary. We appreciate the enhanced picture quality but kids don't.
Also, get tempered glass screen covers off amazon before you give them to the boys x

We have one for my eldest but my other two children play it too we set up a gaming room under the stairs with a TV in so they play it in there. I think you'd have to have separate games if you have 2 consoles, you can get extra controllers if you want two player rather than share one set of controllers.

Theu break easily I'd jist get the console one and get 2 controllers n take in turns I have twin boys age 11 ...1s always breaking things other he looks after his things it's a nightmare

We have 1 if lo wants to play with someone we connect it to the TV and 2 people can play, we have 2 controllers and even a steering wheel thing think we have a gun that one of the side hand controller goes into for duck shooting

My eldest has the switch neon, that can attatch to the tv, offers mulit player this way ect but it breaks easily when hand held which unfortunately is wht she prefers. If I was to consider a second for my other 2 id prob go for the switch lite although doesnt connect to tv its an all in one console so less likely to have the controllers breaking. As previously stated most games offer multi player which would be linked to tv. Also if u enable the internet setting part you can down load games. I prefer the cartages as I dont want my eldest on the internet just now. Hope this helps.

I wouldnt buy an oled simply because i couldnt afford it, my son had the red and blue one he wanted to upgrade from the lite, to be honest he has plugged it into the tv a handful of times, wish we had stuck with the lite version

If you're talking Switch Lite then yes, you will need 2 copies of each game. If I were in your situation, I would buy the original switch for them to "share" and play together (this may present a different set of problems though if your kids are anything like mine but would save a small fortune)

I bought 2 for my girls. 1 I got 2nd hand but boxed and the other as part of my phone contract. The girls were 7 and 8 at the time. I'm glad I got 2 as it stops the arguments. They play different games or link on the TV to play the same. Switch sports is a great family game. Definitely get the screen protectors

Our boys have 1 between them. We have the switch that links to the TV. We bought extra controllers and a double headphone jac and even if we are out they can play it together. They both have times they want to play on it on their own which we rotate but mostly they play together.

If you download the games you'd need 2 I should think, but may be able to share the cartridges... that's my guess not fact though

We got our twin boys one when they were 7.
Get one that plugs into the tv, check that games are multiplayer before you buy them.
The best tip is to get a memory card that goes in it, then use the Nintendo shop when they have sales, the games are so much cheaper that way and there is a bigger variety. (You download them as opposed to having the cartridge) .

Currys/PC World do a price match. We found online and they did match - was a substantial saving but with the reassurance the shop was on high Street x

Honestly I have bought 2 of my children the switch and I have bought them through very as you can buy now pay later with zero interest and pay it slowly over either 6, 9 or 12 months. It has made it much easier

Some games do offer a friend pass which means if one kid has the game, you can then get a free download of that game! There is only a few of this however so worth having a look into 🙂

One thing related the joy cons don't last with stick drift. Best getting a pro controller if the switches are hooked up to a screen and not used portable.
