Choosing the Right Nintendo Switch for Twins – Game Copies and Model Comparison

@azel yea we've had it repaired by nintendo and had happened again with same repaired Joy con's (original grey console first released) plus the other two we have brought when first set started to drift. Where as nintendo pro controller no issues.

Would try the family pass as they have different profiles in same family pass and can all play the same games then. Pro controller is a must and makes playing so much easier.

Depends if they are going to play it more has a hand held or on the TV. If on the TV the OLED doesn't really make much difference as the main difference is the screen size so will only really benefit from the bigger screen playing on the hand held.

Buy an xbox instead get 2 game passes pay for 1, 100s of games to download in the game pass then you don't have to fork out twice everytime one wants a game x

We have more than one switch … can play games like mario, zelda, just dance one all of them. You need the cartridge so they will not be able to play the same game at the same time. Except for Animal Crossing. That is switch specific so if both wants to play it you’ll need 2 games.

@southmirchi animal crossing is different as it can only be played by one console, so even if your switch broke and you got a new one you would have to buy a new Animal crossing. All the other games are interchangeable.

I may be wrong with this but I’m pretty certain I read if you purchase the games through the online switch store and both switches are set with the same account you can just download the game onto both switches of which they can then play together. Like I say I may be wrong but will be testing out that theory ourselves when we get my daughter a switch for her birthday. I’m sure I read it all on Nintendos website.

My twin boys have just turned 7. We got them a switch lite each (second hand - eBay). We thought about one switch between them with the controllers but think it would have been arguing.
With games, if you have the ones with the controllers they both can play on one switch and it connects to the tv. If not then you may find they both need the game. We have found that Mario Karts, Minecraft we need to buy another copy. Will put them on their Christmas list. X

You will only need to buy one physical copy but they can't play at the same time which they can get used to 😊 my son got one last Christmas he's just turned 7 so good age for it. I got the OLED as he mainly plays it portable and the screen on the OLED is miles better than the original! If hooked up to the TV mainly it makes no difference really

The game data is saved to the device, not the game card. So one copy can be used for both switches, providing they don’t both want to play the same game simultaneously of course. In which case you’d need two copies. But with getting one switch first you’ll find out which games they like so can judge it better than if you bought both at the same time.

2 of my kids have barely used switches. Their twins. I can ask tomorrow if it's something they'd be interested in selling if you are interested. They have some games and accessories too. There the ones with one red side one blue side (if that makes any sense) xx
