VR Headset Recommendations for 8-Year-Old

Sorry to jump on post i would like to know this too but any idea if any can be used with Nintendo switch or are these oculus ones totally non console related?

@mawglad I’m also looking at the VR with the Nintendo switch as it’s much cheaper than the oculus but now I’m concerned…. Maybe not a good idea for an 8 year old. I was going to get it for my son for Xmas x

Oculus is the best, it’s a stand alone VR so doesn’t need connecting to a games console.. we got ours about 4 years ago I think now and they’re the best thing we got, they are still used daily so we’ll worth the money if you know it’s going to be used 🙂

We have 2 quest 2, my other half took over the first one, said he’d never play on it, now’s he’s hooked, so we got a second for the kids, we’ll worth the money, but some of the updates they do are being more aimed at the quest 3, if I had the money that’s the one I would get, I had a sneaky peak and the graphics are awesome x

My 7 year old kept asking for one so tried my friends Oculus. After I used it I had a really bad headache, looked online and seen the age guideline. My Son has a lazy right eye so said he can’t have one yet at his age. Does make sense the guideline when think how close it is to their eyes, just do a bit of research as are expensive xx

Mine 8 years old asked for the same.i did research online and through friends and none of them recommend it for such a young age.we are getting him this instead

Oculus quest is excellent. I put Wander app on it and you can visit anywhere on google earth in 3D. Roller coaster and mini golf are excellent

My son has the Meta Quest 3. And it's really good. Plays it alot. It has a hefty price tag as it's the newest one out. But the Meta quest 2 is still a good console 😁
