Recommendations for Charming Coastal Towns in the UK & Tips for Caring for a Loved One with Oesophageal Cancer

@cordes Salcombe is always very busy in the summer months, possibly try looking into surrounding villages, Thurlestone, South Milton, Hope Cove etc (I live 5 minutes from Salcombe) happy to give advice if you need it on any of these places x

@cordes Dartmouth is much more wheel chair friendly than Salcombe, please do feel free to PM if you do decide to bring her down to South Devon as I can possibly help you find somewhere. I work for a local holiday lettings company so have good knowledge of the area and our properties xxxx

Southwold is stunning - Suffolk. I think that’s the nicest not packed place on the coast I’ve been.
Aldeburgh also lovely - v different shoreline.
So much sky in that area
Makes for a v calming place.

I live in Sidmouth in Devon. It's beautiful but can have a lot of tourists in peak season (July/August). We have both sand and pebble beaches, lots of cafes and a few shops but no big retailers.
