I bought on there last week, the seller gave me their postcode and we arranged a quick message when I got there. She then gave me the door number! We she did this I thought it was a better idea than handing out full address x
postcode for location. Then call on arrival for actual house number etc ...once i see them on my rd i give them my house number...its just common sense .
People are awful on marketplace they say they want stuff don’t turn up and then ghost you learned the hard way not to keep anything for anyone first to come gets it! Also never tell them my house number until they say they are on the way and I’m sure they are coming!
This happens all the time
To me on FB marketplace. Don’t understand why people
Commit and then disappear
Off the face of the earth . Don’t worry about it xx
Prob alt just changed her mind and didn’t have the courtesy to tell you. Lots of people take that route these days instead of just saying so. Not been taught good manners I’m afraid.
I wouldn’t be worried! Ngl I have asked for something once, and then I got nervous about going to get the items so I panicked and blocked them as I felt like I couldn’t message and say sorry I can’t collected as Iv had a panic attack! I felt like they wouldn’t understand so I just blocked xx
I wouldn't stress, people does that all the time, change their minds and instead saying they just ghost you. Also if you Google yourself you could probably find all the information anyways and perhaps more
I had similar! I had a fairly new vacuum cleaner to give away! (My mother-in-law passed away and I didn't need it). A lady said she would pick it up after she had collected her child from school. She didn't! I messaged her and she said she forgot! Fair enough! But she rearranged two more times and didn't show up! I arranged to be in each time so she could collect! Never again! Next time it goes to the tip!
@jordanisdadebil I find it really annoying too, happened too many times when giving away items. It is like as it is free they can’t be bothered, but it is sad for those that could genuinely use the item and would like it.
@diligentlyseekinggod its just the fact that I changed my plans 3 times to be at home for collection! I didn't have anywhere to leave it outside my home so it wouldn't have matter if I was home or not! It was the fact that I had turned down invitation to go out ! Never mind! We learn by our mistakes and I won't ne doing it again!
