Concerned About Marketplace Scammer – Gave Address to Potential Buyer Who Now Seems to Have Blocked Me

@gabe1982 is it a scam? Because someone tried it yesterday to me sister and wanted to charge her double(that was definitely a scam) just wondered if it happened a lot

I think people block if they don't turn up out of embarrassment that they were a no show and don't have to deal with being asked why, more than wanting to find out where you live so wouldn't worry too much.

I always have a snoop at the person’s profile, how long they’ve had it and realistic photos, family ect if they’re collecting kids stuff

I’ve seen a post similar to this before. Never give your address out especially if posting for childrens items.. don’t want to frighten you but they know there are children at that address..

I give out street name and then when they say they are here I will give the house number.

I’ve come to the conclusion that there is a lot of sad people out there who must be very bored and just lead you on for their own kicks! Same if you’ve said you’ll deliver and they’ll give extra for fuel…. no one at home!!
Sad people with nothing better to do with their lives !

So many time wasters these days, I always try to sell unwanted stuff (for a very reasonable price) before taking to the tip as would prefer someone to get use from it than chuck it away.
Recently noticed people asking if its available then don't even read my reply, people saying they will come at x time and not bothering. Just so many time wasters these days

Probably just a time waster but in future postcode as last min as possible and number of house when they're messaging saying they're outside
