Off-the-Beaten-Path Vacation Ideas: Hidden Gems and Unique Destinations

@spokken2 So true!! We did two weeks during covid and loved Rügen Island, Lübeck, Rostock etc. Also in the south Rothenburg ob der Tauber and the surroundings. Just lovely.

I am well travelled but never done it! I travelled across Japan on the bullet train in April with my 9 year old and he was so good so I thought he’s going to love a trip around Europe ☺️

@garnernathaniel it is so much more relaxing then airports and planes, and the build up. Hope you have a fab time. My lad made a scrap book the first time, with ticket stubs from the places we visited, business cards from the hotels/ hostels/ restaurants etc. and the map with our route mapped out. (We had paper passes 😂)

We loooooove us some unusual holidays and enjoy all the places we go to. Our best ones were the old Russian states like Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, Kazachstan but also closer to home Armenia and Georgia (food is delicious!!!!) and in Europe really beautiful and cheap are Bulgaria and Romania … our best trip ever was Iran but now is not a good time as they are in a revolution!!! Let me know if you want more info. PS We travel with our daughter since she was a baby. She’s been to 29 countries. Iran was her favourite.

@cfriesen I went there in June as I have family who live there , Sweden is a beautiful country so clean and fresh not like the UK , you can see where the Americans got the idea for their houses

@emmanuelmunoz right? We are a family on a budget, although I don't discount ANY suggestions as it may be useful to someone else!
I just think why spend or save a fortune going to the usual places when there is so much out there. And there is no better idea/review than people who have actually been! Xx
