Choosing the Right Nintendo Switch for Twins – Game Copies and Model Comparison

I have 9&8 year old girls we brought 2 switch lite as they hassled there big bro to play his switch and now they don’t even use them but are good to carry out and I would personally get the games it self as they can share them I have mine all set with there own accounts each but share the games x

Personally I'd give them one each on their birthdays or Christmas. It won't be as good a present on the 2nd opening as they already have one.
My children share one and have for 4 years And never had a problem (they're 7 and 12 now)
If they want to play the games together, then yes you'll need 2, but if they won't want to pay them at the same time then you'll only need one of each game as you can have different profiles which saves the progress for each player separately x

@debbie007 You can game share across 2 consoles - there are tutorials online on how to do this. I do it so my son and I can play the same games together while only buying one copy.

We have a 6 and 7 year old and last year we saved and bought the 7 year old the switch you can use on the tv for his birthday in december and then father Xmas bought the then 5 year old a switch lite. We set up one account on both switches for the online games as they have individual games. They both love them

Xbox one or ps4 probably better then switch unless for car journeys train journeys or holidays then ds lites or 3ds are cheaper then.switches. my son.hardly ever plays his switch it his xbox one or ps4

So my daughter had the old switch! I did her account under my her name with my email address.
Then I bought her the new one changed over account on her new one!
But as long as i DOWNLOAD on old one it Will cope on new account as I haven’t deleted it x

OLED Switch is sooo much better if they will be playing handheld mode often. The screen quality is amazing compared to the standard. (I have both.)
If they want to play the same game together, they will need a copy each yes.

My daughter is 13 and still enjoys hers and she has the original version and the graphics are still fine. I find if the games she wants is really expensive she either has to wait until her birthday or Xmas (sometimes Xmas as her birthday is in November so she can wait a little longer when they get a little more) or she saves her pocket to buy what she wants.
Even my 7 and 9 year olds still enjoy playing it and they have an Xbox one and PS4.
Maybe just buy 1 copy of each game you know they'll both like and they can share the games. What's the chances they're going to want the same game at the exact same time? It would save money that way x

@xiconexertoroyah I think that's what I'll do. Annoyingly they are always playing the same game at the same time on their ipads, but they will just have to get uses to taking it in turns when it comes to the switch, or play together on the TV. Thanks so much. Xxx 😘

@littlefre2 they're just so expensive, I can pick games up for my 2 boys consoles for £10-20 but the ones she wants are like £50 because of her age and what she's in to. My kids are happy with what they get so they don't always want the newer stuff. My 9 year old keeps asking for an Xbox 360 🤣 instead of the newer one.
It could be nice for them to play together on the TV for a change. My 2 boys love playing Minecraft together on their consoles, even the 13 year old joins them in Minecraft xxx

I have twin boys and we got them a switch to share and honestly, they hardly use it! They spend more time on their iPads (which they have one each of) I understand about sharing things but maybe see how they go sharing the first before deciding on the second?

@atlantaplumbing hmmm...this is my only concern. My boys love their ipads when they are allowed them. Slightly concerned the novelty might wear off with the switch. I will get them one to share for their birthday in October and see how it goes. If they love it then we can get them another one to share for Christmas! Great advice, thank you 😘 xxx

We all have a switch lite each, my husband has the normal and my son has the oled aswell. Honestly we all prefer our lites. Would you take them somewhere that sells them and let them hold them etc as they might find one more comfortable than the other x
