How to Deal with Tailgaters Using Your Kids' Help – A Fun Trick That Works Every Time!

@coberst 100% agree, don’t mind cyclists if they behave like normal humans and not absolute entitled arseholes “oh look at me in my Lycra skin tight leggings, and my super bright Lycra skin tight top, I can cycle right in the middle of your lane because I’m an arse with a tiny Willy”

@latrese80 that's because the sensible cyclists gave up using the roads because too many car drivers were being jerks, and it's never the car that looses that fight!

@nickmoore "I can cycle right in the middle of your lane" Of course, because usually that is only safe place to ride! It's their lane as much as it is yours. Just overtake them like you would with another car, by going into the other lane and leaving a sensible distance. And if there isn't enough space to do that, then that's exactly why the cyclist is taking the lane because it would be dangerous for you to overtake them otherwise. Standard highway code.

@latrese80 that is legal, my dad and partner ride motorbikes and I can guarantee they're more scared being on the road than you, they do not have a ton of metal protecting them, there will always be idiots on motorbikes, aswell as idiots in cars, lorries etc. But motorbikes are allowed to weave, that's the perks of riding one, it also helps traffic flow easier & it safer for them, if you use your mirrors it shouldn't be an issue for you....

I actually had this the other week on a 60 road, i was doing 60. My 12yr old was commenting on the driver behind being too close. He actually turned round and was looking at them, and i must admit, they did back off.
I am finding more & more lately my 12 yr is aware of people speeding or driving too close.

@neo41 My son is really becoming aware of the road and drivers etc. I try to stay calm, and i teach him that i keep a safe distance from the car in front, i can’t control what they do behind sadly.
My pet hate is cars sitting on your bumper when trying to turn off into a side road, then they over take before you’ve turned. People just rush everywhere sadly now. It scares me that my son could be on the road with these types of people in 5yrs, i just have to teach him the right way.
