@jakeet tbh I don’t think anyone should have to force their feet into uncomfortable shoes especially kids, most of them will spend long enough in those shoes in the world of work
@mouse4 It’s ridiculous isn’t it.
My son has awkward feet, but thankfully we find ones that suit him.
So many very smart trainers and shoes that people can’t quite work out if shoes or trainers (all black for school or wherever) that would work well and be a good alternative for some people’s feet, as we are all different yet some schools still say they are not good enough.
I thought shoe policy was strict where I went many years ago as 45 now, they regularly did a shoe inspection - seems even worse now.
I had a knee injury (thankfully mostly resolved with surgery a few years ago) and can’t imagine a job with a very restrictive shoe policy as if I wear something that doesn’t agree with me I have a day or two before the pain starts.
However with the correct shoes for me I can walk miles a day and no issues, thankfully I’ve found what works for me.
Not exactly trainers but not exactly shoes....both me and my partner wear these to work and they are acceptable at our place of work...but I appreciate they may not be allowed, just thought it might be worth a shot?
I asked a Nurse in Clatterbridge where she bought her shoes she said they wete clarkes little wedge with rubber sole she said they were the most comfortable shoes to wear all day
