Top Tips for Keeping Your Pool Crystal Clear All Summer Long!

Have seen so many posts recently about pools going cloudy, green or slimy so thought I’d give you my top tips! My pool has been up weeks, still crystal clear water and I’m in it every day!
*Run your filter for at least 5 hours (depending on pool size)
* you do need chemicals of some description, purchase a pool starter kit, put your pool up, fill with water then test the levels. TA and PH must be adjusted first, chlorine will not be as affective until those levels are sorted, if TA & PH are too high then add PH minus until they are at the “ok” level. If PH & TA are too low then add PH plus until okay. Then add stabilised chlorine to 5ppm (parts per million) this can be worked out by the size of your pool (how many gallons of water)
* you do NOT need to “shock” your pool as soon as you’ve filled it, you only need to shock with unstabilised chlorine if your pool has gone green, stabilised chlorine prevents this from happening
*dissolve the stabilised chlorine in warm water before adding to your pool, do not dissolve in hot water or it’ll let off gas which isn’t very nice!
*take your filter out of your pump daily and give it a jet wash, the filter will last longer and the pump will work better
*if you use suncream throw some tennis balls in the pool to soak it up
*test your levels frequently, especially if your pool is in the sun all day, chlorine burns off quickly in the sun
* use a chlorine dispenser and multifunction tablets to help maintain the pool, depending on the size and where the pool is, these may not be enough, again test your pool regularly
* a pool hoover will be your best friend, you 100% will Hoover your pool more than you Hoover your house
🤣

* You will clean the pool more than you swim in the pool, it’ll become your number 1 obsession
🤪

* most importantly……Have fun
😍

I have a 10ft bestway steel pro, I am using the bestway swimulator training band in the video, amazing bit of kit that’s not expensive!
Enjoy your pools everyone

Danielle Westcott if you’re shocking it should be done with a specific shock chlorine but if it’s cloudy you’re better off chucking some tennis balls in or some pool absorbing sponges, running he filter 24/7 and if that doesn’t work then try some clarifier. If all else fails you can shock the pool with chlorine shock granules, be aware it’ll make your chlorine level very high and may not reduce the cloudiness

@zonal eiter I think, I don't use them tbh find the clarifier works pretty well then a quick hoover of the bottom of the pool.
People rate both so completely up to u xxx
