Recording Swimming for GCSE PE - Solutions and Alternatives

Does the school have a pool? My daughter’s school said they can either watch a recording, a teacher could go along to a pool and watch her in a comp or they can do it in school in their pool.

Not sure if its the same as in scotland, but for my sons higher PE, his teacher/lecturer came and watched him play a game for his, he plays Ice hockey, so they came along and watched, x

I would ask the college how they normally get evidence. The rules are pretty much the same everywhere so they must have a certain way they see it. I no my watch tracks my swimming maybe that's an idea?

My daughter used footage that we filmed at swimming galas. Other footage we used we took whilst she was training with the permission of the swimming coach, he actually filmed alot of it, he just put her in a lane of her own whilst she did what was needed. Hope you can get this sorted x

Is he registered with swim England? He should be if he is in galas and all his times and swims will be in there as evidence

My daughter stayed late after her lessons. Asked friends who would be willing to be filmed alongside her and got consent from parents. Spent an hour with her doing underwater filming and photography. We were lucky as it was a private school pool (not a school she attended) so use of the pool was free.

My daughter needed evidence in racing conditions. So I filmed at open meets as it was allowed.
One it wasn't, but they allowed me to fill out a form and a member on poolside filmed her only in her race, down the length of her lane

@gospeltrafficker it depends what sports they choose. My daughter did climbing and had to be filmed at a climbing centre. If its sports that school can accommodate then there's no need for any extra input, but some things can't be done at school
