It’s lovely and nothing like what the bride would be wearing. That’s if she will even wear red. It’s traditional to but not everyone does. I didn’t wear red on mine. Plus the dress you have isn’t all red. So totally fine xx
Not all Indian brides nowadays wear red. I think it is lovely you've made the effort and you should wear it if you like it. You're friend has already said it looks lovely.
You’ll find that most Indian wedding dresses are completely different and a lot are quite extravagant and extremely beautiful. I think it’s lovely and acceptable. I’m sure the bride would of said if she had a problem.
I was lucky enough to attend one myself, and I’ve got to say what an absolute wonderful day .. I felt honoured to be invited, absolutely wonderful, don’t think you will clash with the bride at all, enjoy the day
That's a beautiful dress. When I was 10 I was invited to a Muslim wedding and it was all weekend. 48 years later I remember it so well. It was such a beautiful experience and everyone was lovely. I only wish I had a colour film in my camera as the photos just didn't do justice.
I wore red to my bestfriend's wedding and it was absolutely fine. You'll have the best time, I enjoyed every minute. The whole thing is so special xx @mscongeniality
Not offensive at all @journee2lyfe, that’s a lovely dress and I’m sure they will truly appreciate the effort you made to dress in cultural attire! Hope you have the best time…there’s nothing like a good old Indian wedding!! Scrub on your Bhangra moves and you will look a delight I’m sure
That is said when you are matching red on a proper heavy work blouse she a skirt (called lehenga). Your dress will absolutely be fine and not at all offensive, go for it x
As another Indian, I’d say you’ll be fine in this, very unlikely you’ll be upstaging the bride as the embroidery is pretty light on your dress! Very considerate of you to check though
