@mpho17 thank you , now to try and find where to buy stuff , the shops are shockingly bad this year and I don't want to keep ordering online because it gets pricey
@seekinglife superdrug are usually good for girly bits, my 16 year old this year has vaseline pots (3 different colours) & nose pore strips in hers as I know she likes them. You can also get individual bath bombs, face mask (sheet ones if they prefer), lip balm, lip stick, hair brush or comb, body spray, travel perfume bottle etc. Add some cosy socks (primark / poundland etc) & chocolate coins or sweet tube and jobs done
@seekinglife most of mine has been primark or homebargings, there my got to for little girly bits. Yes I try and order big gifts but shop for the smaller bits. For ur 5 year old I got mine some bits cheap in entertainer toy shop. Barbie tattoos £1 nd a barbie colour and design outfits few pounds also have little tubs of things slime etc (homebargings can be better value if use stock) and little Fidget /squish bits. £1 Stickers homebargings my 5 yr old loves craft.
@seekinglife I only put consumables in our stockings, things I’d buy anyway that need replacing or replenishing often — toothbrush, toothpaste, chocolate coins, satsuma, hair bobbles, hair bows, pencils/crayons/felt pens, deodorant etc
@marjoriejacinthe my 2 girls like the little little ones it's like they've never seen something so small before their a bit special lol
My home bargains is crap compared to one further away but the OH always moans about going out 'shopping'
@thewayforme because she's 11 and most people's kids don't believe at that age, plus over the years ive seen a lot of judgemental comments about older kids still believing in stuff like santa, tooth fairy etc (eldest is waiting to be tested for ASD)
@seekinglife even if she didn’t believe she can still have a stocking. We all have a stocking here and both me and my partner had one when we lived at home until we moved out x
I dont do a stocking but i get 5 various sized boxes and fill with little treats. This year ive gone with:
Fidgit toys
Bath bombs
Choc coins
Toy car/hotwheels
Kinder egg
Notebook and festive pen
Tub of slime
This year the kids are getting waterproof gloves, a new water bottle, a hair scrunchie and a head band in their stockings (plus chocolates and an orange). Oh and the younger one is getting a balloon cause it was on her list.
Fun foam, bath bombs, fidget toy for my eldest, pencils and little notepad for my youngest, chocolate coins, smarties, orange and a 50p for good luck (my grandma used to do it for us!) x

Mainly chocolate and sweets in their stockings. They then have a book, card game (usually top trumps), pants and socks, and 1 small gift. Santa brings their stockings
