Discovering the Impact of Organic Produce: How Pesticides Affect Flavor and My Shift Towards Organic Eating

I think everything else you do if you can access them or afford to buy all organic or you decide to eat organic “dirty dozen” and clean 15 usual and then not the others?! Really it depends what works for you and everyone’s food budgets are different. I moved to some organic fruit and veg and organic grass fed red meat and organic milk and the rest I keep the same as I have always bought as that works for us

I discovered vegetables when i went to Thailand about 12 years ago. I remember coming back and trying to recreate dishes and thinking “wow, no wonder i never liked vegetables” 😅 i now grow my own as much as i can

I personally don't find any difference in flavour, except in locally grown. Can't beat your own grown veg or farm food shops. How you cook also effects flavour. I swear steamed carrots cut into crudités taste better than sliced.
This is the list of products used in organic farming. As well as good crop rotation.

We enjoy an organic veg box delivery too. Also little to no plastic in it either. Organic food can however be prohibitively expensive for some people. I think the main thing is to eat your veg, irrespective of whether it’s organic or not 🥦🥬🥒🥑🍆🫑

I mean, do you wash your veg before you cook it?
A lot of people don’t (including myself) even though you are supposed to

We had food from riverford I think it was several years ago, and I remember eating a tomato and being overwhelmed that it tasted like a tomato. The woman must have thought I was insane as I said I had never had a tomato taste like a tomato before. Also eating fruit and veg in season really makes a difference to how it tastes.

If you have any allotments near you they often have a shop and they are brilliant. It's all seasonal but tastes much nicer and cheaper

Watch out free range don't always mean out in the field. It means that they are free to range and that might be in a barn.

Home grown stuff does taste way better! I remember thinking carrots tasted much more carrroty! I thought it was down to them being so fresh though?
