Bra Recommendations for Small Bust - Struggling with Fit and Style After Weight Loss

I can’t think of a better place to post this (despite feeling embarrassed about it) - I’ve lost a fair bit of weight since having my two children and always had small boobs (I’m v petite) - but now they’re literally gone. I’m talking A cup, which is fine for my small frame but obviously I’m not thrilled that whatever I did have has now vanished. Please can any ladies with small chests recommend some nice bra’s? I went to Boux Avenue yesterday and their padded A cup bras weren’t a great fit, still lots of gap where I almost have nothing to fill them. I know there are crop top / sports bra type bras but they often look awful under clothes. There were lots of this style in Primark, along with some ok-ish T-shirt bra’s but I don’t find the quality great. Anyone in similar position who has found any, please let me know! Or can recommend a particular style which might give me an illusion of something there without it being so much padding it’s uncomfortable. I’m losing the will to live and don’t want to go braless as it just makes me more self conscious! x

Same- although always been flat as a witches t!t !!!!
I like primarks max boost - look great under a t-shirt, great shape. Looks good on too (I often find 'A' cups too small and look stupid on to look at) They last, wash and wear well, and about £8 a go so good value!
People - please don't say go braless - (personally) I feel like a boy with no bra on- its always nice to have shaoe, even if its an illusion!!

Have you tried the 2 sizes bigger bras from Asda? I find those a good fit. Yes there is a lot of padding but they do feel comfortable and also give a great Illusion xxx

As a member of the itty bitty titty committee, the good news is going bra less is always an option, Anne summers also do some nice bra's as do m&s. Asda also have a nice range

I’m exactly the same!! I’m breast feeding at the moment so have gone up to a 34C but I was a 34A previously, as soon as I stop breastfeeding I know I’ll be back at an A cup! ( I did have breast augmentation booked in then found out I was pregnant 🙈) I became an Ann summers rep and decided to try their bras, the sexy lace range particularly is what I wear and I find they fit well and don’t make me look like I’m trying to fill something 🤣

@godlovesscience a 34 band suggests you are a dress size 14, does that sound right? I'm a size 12 and wear a 30 band. It might be worth checking out boob or bust - bra measuring advice Facebook page and giving their calculator a go.

@geo77 were you measured in M&S? Unfortunately they tend to add 4 unnecessary inches. If you check on the Boob or Bust - Bra measuring advice Facebook page you’ll see that most of the 197k women are wearing a band size that is roughly their dress size plus 20. So size 12 would generally wear a 32 band, sadly I only realised recently that I’d been wearing the wrong size virtually all my life. When I was a size 6, about 5st M&S put me in a 32 band, I probably had an under bust measurement of about 22, if that as my waist was only about 18 🤣🤣 Oh well at least I’m wearing the right size now thanks to Bravissimo, John Lewis and Boob or Bust. I was wearing a 34DD thanks to M&S, now happily wearing a 30F. M&S put my friend in a 40C, she’s a size 16 and now wears a 36F. I’d seriously consider getting fitted at Bravissimo or use the Boob or Bust calculator to check. If you put a non stretchy tape measure, level around you, tuck in the crease and pull it as tight as you can, that should be your band size. If a non stretchy tape goes round you then a stretchy bra will.

@medic_man I'm a size 10/12 and I wear a 36 as anything smaller than that just feels way to tight for me🤷‍♀️ pretty sure i wear the wrong size as I get different sizes in different bras. I just get whatever size feels comfy

@medic_man Deffo not the wrong size, I can get a 34 on but it's too tight, a 32 would chop me in half if I ever managed to fasten it 🤣. It was Debenhams that originally measured me

@debhubtravels try the Boob or Bust - Bra measuring advice calculator, often the band feels tight because the cups are too small so your breast tissue gets forced into the band making it feel tight. What have you got to lose? 🤷‍♀️ I was wearing a 32DD and instead of giving me a bigger cup M&S told me I needed a bigger band because of all my back fat. I was actually pretty fit and going to the gym 5 times a week. I now wear a 30F and surprise, surprise I have no back fat because all my breast tissue is in the cup.

@geo77 I can get a 34 on but if I wore the wrong size cup, a C for instance, it would still feel tight because all my breast tissue would be forced into the bad. You’ve got nothing to lose by trying the Boob or bust calculator 🤷‍♀️

@medic_man I’m so confused about this as yesterday I went into Boux avenue to get measured and came out as a 34 A - I’m a clothes size 8, very petite. She said I could wear a 32A but personally, I found the 32 a lot more tight and uncomfortable than a 34. I gym a lot, and have been working on building my back muscles so wondering if my back and shoulders have grown but I’ve lost the actual breast tissue (fat) - I’m the OP for reference x
