Hello lovely people
👋🏼

If you had the option to retrain in something what would it be ? Any success stories ? People going self employed in a new job that they hadn’t done before and are making a good profit ? Maybe a job that you can work your own hours ? I did try and do nails once but didn’t work out
🙈
Thankyou

I retrained as a beauty therapist at 32, done it privately 1 evening a week - cost me best part of 2k. I then worked I in salons but have very recently opened my own home salon and its the best thing I done!! Go for it!

@eaglemustfly haha I meant go for whatever you want to retrain in, not necessarily nails 😂 good for you for trying, it is hard! If you have an idea of what you want to do then I'd definitely try, we all deserve to do something we love, even if it means making a massive career change x

I self taught if that counts 😂 I fell in love with crafting and own my own business now and am just about to start helping other product based businesses as well. Massive change and fear factor involved but so worth it if you end up doing something you love 😍 x

Yep self taught Painter & Decorator. Then went on to do 6 courses with Dulux Academy and planning to do many more. Run my own business took awhile to build up but I love what I do.

Yes, teacher turned swim teacher turned into running my own Mermaid Swimming School - such hard work running your own business and I still have other jobs but I love it! After 5 years, I feel like I’m finally getting to grips with it 🤣

I'm a postie currently 2 years into a 4 year counselling course. It's hard working full time, mummy and studying but hoping to set up a personal practice once qualified 😀
