Crafting on a Budget: DIY Halloween Piñata Ideas for a Spooky and Fun Celebration

So I’m 4 weeks away from giving birth and I have done nothing but panic about my son and Halloween…..
I make him a piñata every year, this year he requested a vampire and then I saw the idea to make ‘pokey cup’. I had absolutely everything in the house except the tissue paper and sweets, so brownie points for recycling products for the majority of the makes.
I have just a couple more plastic bottles to collect and then we will be making a ‘body in a bag’ together, the picture idea for this is below. Just thought I would share the ideas, as they are amazing if you are on a tight budget, or just love crafting x

My dad was born on the 25th october and he was a wonderful person, or if you go a week over you could have a halloween baby, how awesome would that be 😁❤️💚

I’m also doing the bottle body bag🙌 I’m pretty sure my partner thinks I’ve lost the plot collecting all these bottles 🙈 this is also something I’m going to attempt on the weekend as well as the tomato cage ghosts 💀

@jsargent I’ve just watched a video and looks like most are using those polystyrene balls for heads and bodies on some sort of wooden stake then you just drape the bin bags over the top and use some sort of tie round where the neck would be. No problem lovely I love Halloween but also know how costly it can be 😩

@livingfor oh excellent, that’s really helpful to know! My son loves all of the ‘holidays’, I’m forever crafting which I don’t mind at all. Just want to get as much done as I can now, so I know he’s covered before little lady arrives and the lack of sleep kicks in. I’ll have more time next week once my maternity leave starts, so I can really get cracking then. You are right though, it can be so very expensive if you solely buy everything x

@vasilishan the first one I ever made was a glow in the dark ghost (use glow in the dark prit stick and white tissue paper to decorate), it was super easy and great fun. I have found cardboard from crisp/delivery boxes to be the best and easiest to work with, I think I re sketched my ghost about 6 times, getting the shape outline right is the most difficult part. After that it’s time to get messy 😂 x
