What’s the difference between a cleansing water and cleansing balm?

Both of our Hydro Ungrip products are designed to gently remove makeup and cleanse your skin. Which one is best for you comes down to personal preference (ie: which texture you like best) and how much makeup you want to remove. Our cleansing water is great for light makeup removal, touching up eye makeup, and gentle cleansing, while our Hydro Ungrip Cleansing Balmis ideal for removing stubborn, heavy, or waterproof makeup—particularly around sensitive areas like your eyes.

Can I use this to double cleanse?

Totally. We designed our Hydro Ungrip Makeup Remover + Cleansing Water to pair perfectly with a water-based cleanser like our Vegan Milk Cleanser. Together these two hydrating formulas will leave your skin clean without feeling stripped.

Think of blue agave extract as a super-gripping magnet that gently locks itself on to its surroundings. In our Hydro Grip Primer, the blue agave extract is formulated to help form an invisible layer on your skin to lock in makeup, so your makeup doesn’t budge for up to 12 hours. In Hydro Ungrip, its gripping powers are reverse engineered so the blue agave in the formula combines with micellar technology to lift dirt and impurities to grip them away. The TLDR: It all depends on what it’s formulated with.
